Heartgard Plus chewables is a monthly meaty chew used for the prevention of heartworm disease and for the control of roundworms and hookworms in dogs. Heartgard Plus chewables contain the active ingredients Ivermectin and Pyrantel and are given once a month for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by the parasitic worm Dirofilaria Immitis in dogs and to control roundworms and hookworms.
Heartgard Plus eliminates the heartworm larvae that infect the dog during the previous month. Heartworm is spread by infected mosquitoes. Heartworm disease is very serious and can cause death. Treatment is very involved, complex and expensive, therefore prevention is preferable to the cure.

Did not want to write 2 separate reviews! If you love your pet , you need to give them these wonderful products monthly.to ensure their good health. No better place to buy than from Sierra Pet Products. A lot cheaper than buying from your local Pet store or your Vet. I purchase a years supply of both each year and their Service is exceptional.
